KSSB is subject to the Kansas Open Records Act, K.S.A. 45-215 et seq.  If you desire you will be provided with a copy of our Open Records Act (brochure/policy) in compliance with K.S.A. 45-227.  Please be advised that in accordance with K.S.A. 45-216, it is the policy of KSSB  to provide full access to any and all public records that are not excepted by the provisions of K.S.A. 45-221.

Access to our organization’s records is available at 1100 State Ave., Kansas City, KS  Monday through Friday during the regular business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The Kansas Open Records Act applies only to a “public record.” By definition, public records are “any recorded information, regardless of form or characteristics, which is made, maintained or kept by or is in the possession ….” of our organization.  A general request for information that is not recorded is not within the purview of the Kansas Open Records Act.
