A trailblazer is someone who doesn’t necessarily have the same opportunity, the same leg up as another person. A trailblazer is somebody who has to pave that path for themselves… somebody who blazes that trail, and doesn’t look back.

Kansas Trailblazers Weekend

Participants must be:

  • Age 1​2-18 or Grades 6-12.  KSSB Transition Students are not eligible.
  • Have NO history of behavior issues including: non-compliance, elopement, aggression, etc.
  • Independent in all self-care including toileting and showering.
  • Independent in managing clothing and personal items.
  • Independent (age appropriate) in travel/cane skills (Does not need 1:1 to travel).
  • Able to locate stairs/drop-offs/obstacles in variety of environments.
  • Able to independently get in and out of a vehicle.
  • Have a signed waiver to participate in the KCBAS 5K, one of the weekend activities.
  • Registered to attend via this Google Form.
