- Job Description: This position plays a meaningful role in supporting students with visual impairments across regional districts and cooperatives by providing specialized instruction in safe, efficient, and independent travel. Working under the general supervision of the Director of Field Services, the COMS thoughtfully prioritizes and delivers services that empower students to navigate their schools, homes, and communities with confidence.

Early Childhood Instructional Assistant

Come join our Early Childhood Program! The Early Childhood Instructional Assistant performs any combination of instructional and hygiene-related tasks to work with children, ages 6 weeks to 6 years, individually or in small groups, to promote the acquisition of Expanded Core Curriculum skills established by the State of Kansas, the Kansas State School for the Blind, and directives of the lead supervisor and/or manager.

TSVI – Family Infant-Toddler (FIT) Services (Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments) for Children, Birth to Age 3

regular driving and traveling to various locations. The position
follows the KSSB calendar with some modifications, including 15
workdays in June and 15 in July to meet the KDEC Part C.

- Job Description: This position works independently under the supervision of the Family Infant-Toddler Services Director and the Superintendent. The incumbent will provide support and collaborate with the Infant Toddler Services of Kansas, Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) teams, and families. The role includes conducting assessments, sharing resources, delivering direct and consultative services, providing family coaching, and participating in joint home visits. Regular travel is required to various service areas.
